Namaste to all readers! The inspiration to write this book came to me from three main sources:

1. It was my revered Guru Sri Shāntananda Avaduta Satguru Swamigal of Bhuvaneswari temple in Pudukottai who had initiated me into the worship of the great Mother Goddess (called Ambal or Devi in this book). He taught me many things on how the Grace of Ambal could help me to effectively meet challenges in my life. He was a source of constant guidance to me and encouraged me to always remember Ambal and recite the stotras.

2. Another great guiding force and a fountain of inspiration to me was His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamiji, the 68th Sankaracharya of the Kānchi Kāmakoti Peetam popularly known as 'Kanchi Mahaperiyava. It was my good fortune to receive Him once with Purnakumbam. I have read many of his interesting discourses in the Tamil book "Deivathin Kural." Kānchi Mahaperiyava inspired me even more to continue my worship of Ambal with passion and determination. Based on his lectures, I had compiled a book on Ambal titled, 'Kamakshi.'
