Before my word, let me thank the writer of the foreword to this booklet, Dr (U Ve) Srinidhi K Parathasarathi, Director, National School of Business, Bengaluru, who had painstakingly read the material, to pen his lead. The erudition and scholarship of Dr.Srinidhi ji is well revealed in his expressions and deliberations that "He can ably connect siddantha of the scriptures with the contemporary events" and that has made him popular with students. His recommendation on my output as a must read is heartwarming. I can only pray to Lord Krishna to take him further up the throne of enlightenment and ascendancy in his field of work.
The booklet is based on Guru Parampara Prabhavam 6000/12000 padi with borrow of some thoughts from here and there, including Kari Varadan Kainkarya Sabha, Srirangam, publications. The encouragement I received from Sri U Ve Gomatam Azagiyasingar, V.R.Varadanarayana Iyengar Swami, Triplicane, Chennai, cannot be left unstated.
And, I have tried to put it in simple language, in a non-formal way, for a common man to understand and with a request to except errors of all types. I do recall His word "Sarva- dharman parithyajya/ maam ekam sharanam vraja/ ahamtva sarva-papebhyo/mokshayisyami maa suchah:", as salvation to my errors of all kinds.
Further, I have added in this booklet, new information say on the route Sri Ramanuja, wearing off-whites, travelled from Srirangam to Kollegal; and then to Melkote; and; where all he had travelled in Bharata Desam. Some locations hitherto remained vague have been fixed.
Get to know Great Acharya Ramanuja! Hi, you grownups!
Grandfather: Ramanuja!! Ramanuja!! Ramanuja!!
Grandson: Hi! Grand pa whom are you calling? There is no one by that name here. I am Krish and dad is Ram. Then why should call someone else for help or for anything else?
Grandfather: You are right in a way, my dear. But then there is someone beyond us who peps us up and gives us mental peace while taking care of us.
Grandson: Is that the person whom you are calling? Who is he? Is he God?
Grandfather: He is our Acharya. He takes care of us, our well-being, shows us the path leading to Him and ultimately to reach Him. And that The Supreme God is none other than Sreeman Narayanan.
Grandson: Grand Pa, tell me more about that Acharya, he seems to be an interesting type of superman. Is he still around us?
Grandfather: That means you have not read the booklet titled" Get to know: Great Acharya Ramanuja and his 4 Maha-walks" or Galloping through 1000 year old time-window: Eight glimpses of Sri Ramanuja - Katha."
I shall tell you what you wanted now. Yet, I recommend reading up the earlier mentioned booklets for some interesting details on some episodes of history.
