Professor Ina Shastri is Dean Faculty of Fine Arts of Banasthali Vidyapith and Discharging the duties as one of the key Executive and Academic Officer of the University. Prof. Shastri received her M.A. (Music) and M.Ed. degrees from Banasthali Vidyapith before completing Ph.D. under joint supervision of Prof. Uday Pareek and Prof. Bala Sahab Poonchwale. Her research interests include Music Education, Psychology of Music, Aesthetics of Music, Marketing & Music, Physics & Music. She has published around 46 National and International research papers and authored 8 books, she has carried out a number of research projects for various agencies. She has supervised 32 Ph.D. thesis and 10 students are currently enrolled under her supervision. She was awarded Best Citizen of India Gold Medal Award or Excellence in her field and Individual Achievement & National Development. The Best Academic Award of innovative research and promoting scientific temper in India. Best Researcher Award in recognition of the consistent superior performance in Music-IMRF. Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Award and many more. She has a versatile personality. She commanded the NCC contingent at the Republic Day parade and was adjudged the all rounder best cadet in India and won many gold medals including those for shooting. She has also won gold medals for music & Dance at Inter University Youth Festivals sponsored by the Association of Indian Universities. Of late, she is spending much of her time and energy for the overall development of Banasthali as its 'Conscious Keeper'. She is the key proponent in preserving, promoting and implementing the comprehensive Educational ideology of the Vidyapith. She heads various key committees and new ventures of the institution and under her leadership Vidyapith has won several national and international laurels.

On an international scale India is becoming a spotlight for various reasons. There is a lot of mutual sharing between different continents. The social interactions, economic talks, political dialogues and artistic conversations have increased amongst nations. This is initiating a merge of culture and music around the world in the form of fusion. We have tried to explore, interpret, document, and explain the process of the flowing and the changing colors of Indian Classical music through different borders in the urban world. In our book we are reasserting and trying to establish the value of music in education also discussing needs for an advance system of study in accordance to the present time. We have tried to explore the vivacity and variegated shades in performance. It is exploratory as it brings forth various innovative ideas that lay on the periphery and the core of Indian music scene and fusion music at present. We have tried to define fusion music and bring out its global importance; Indian music gharanas and fusion; fusion in Indian classical music along with the works of different artists. Also we have made a comparison of music of east and west along with analyzing the significance of improvisation. we have brought forth the colors of creativity and the subtleties of professionalism in music and discussed globalization as the main factor for the fusion of culture and music. On the basis of experiments, we have tried to analyze and bring out the inclination and interests of the youth in music. We have brought out the change, modifications, and turning points, exchanges of Indian music that mattered in its popularization in the world of music and world music scene.
