Rev Dr Stephen Chundamthadam has been actively involved in promoting a living and vibrant spirituality that is both human and spiritual. As the founding director of the centre for spirituality at Jnana- Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pontifical Athenaeum of Philosophy and Religion, Pune; he worked for an integrated spirituality programmes in Jnana- Deepa Vidyapeeth. Besides his expertise in Indian Philosophy, especially in Vedanta, he has focused on the rich spiritual traditions of other Indian religions. Training the young in Yoga and Karate was his passion. He has seriously engaged in giving meditations and retreats to the young and old, to lay the faithful and religious alike. He reached out to others respectfully and reverentially. For him, spirituality and humanness are not two different realms, one higher or more meaningful than the other, but an integrated divine-human convergence. This special volume is a token of our gratitude to him. Through this book, we acknowledge his contribution not only to the Indian philosophy and Indian Church but also at the personal level. He has personally touched and inspired us.
