This text Book covers all the topics of Kriya Shareera. All topics are made concise & suitable for the reader during examination, resulting in less number of pages and finally book will be handy for students. Essential slokas only have been highlight Mnemonics are being used to remember various aspects. In many places one diagram/picture is being used to understand the full topic/process. At starting of each topic list of references available regarding the same is being mentioned, so that it will help the students for cross referencing.

Dr. Nagaraj. Kamath Bams, (MD). The author completed his under graduation for Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda college and Hospaital, kuthpady, Udupi in the year 2006 – 12 and at present working as a research scholar in the department of Kriya Shareeta, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda college and hospital, international and state level seminars. He has more than 50 research and review article publications to his credit in various national & international journals.

I am extremely happy to know that my student Dr. Nagaraj kamath, who is presently Research Scholar in the department of Kriya shareera has written a book on kriya Shareera entitled "Essentials of Kriya Shareera" as per the syllabus.

He also has to his credit, more than 40 research and review articles publications to his credit in various national, international Journals.

The efforts made by the author are appreciable for giving simple solution in the form of this publication for the benefit of students for their examinations. At present very few books are available which is beneficial for the student during examination. The subject Kriya Shareera is concerned with both Ayurvedic and Modern physiology which is very difficult to read for the first professional B.A.M.S. students, who have the base of convent education.

I hope, this publication will fulfil this lacuna and reaches the need to the optimum level. I pray Lord Dhanwanthari and Manjunatheshwara to give health and strength to the author to continue his efforts and give such contributions in the field of Ayurveda.

I am glad to introduce the work "Essentials of Kriya Shareera" before the student fraternity of Ayurveda. The wide range concepts of Kriya Shareera are dealt here in a rational and sincere manner using coding, mnemonic and representative techniques during examination which will be useful for the student.
