The industrial revolution had changed the shape of the developed and the colonial societies. As a consequence of this, the focus of attention became the colonial people, the labour, the woman, child and the under dogs. Modern journalism has been quite alive to these problems and has been projecting the conditions of these people in the press. The industrial revolution gave birth to the two world wars and in the aftermath of the World War II, the process of decolonization had started which was projected by the modern journalism. This book highlights the development of journalism as a profession in historical perspectives. It is hoped the book will be found. useful for professional journalists and the general public alike.
