The theological vision of the great Fathers of the Church shaped the early Church, specially its liturgy and theology. Their formulation of Trinitarian, Christological as well as ecological were eminently Scriptural and foundational for true Christianity Hence we should listen to their profound wisdom rooted in Scripture. These holy fathers of the Church were faithful teachers who truly lived worthy of the Gospel of Christ, enduring tribulations to preserve the true faith. They were also good shepherds who had been appointed to pastor the spiritual flock and they give them spiritual food at the proper time. It is good to see that nowadays an increasing number of studies have been devoted in Patristic writings. These attempts have contributed significant progress in scholarly understandings of the early Church. Mar Jacob of Serugh, the Harp of the Holy Spirit, was a theological poet who attracted the faithful with his pure thinking and eloquent style. He composed beautiful poems about diverse spiritual topics explaining the Holy Scripture. His audience grew attached to him and to his distinguished and unique character. They referred to his writings whenever they needed a proof or a strong argument to support their convictions or refute misleading doctrines. Today, one thousand and five hundred years after his death his teachings are more relevant. In this context, the doctoral dissertation of Fr. Vinu Varghese entitled as the Ecological Vision on Creation: According to the Homilies on the Third and Fourth Days of Creation of Jacob of Serugh deserves our special attention. **Contents and Sample Pages**
