Book Description
About The Book

History writing, especially of the subcontinent during the colonial era, is filled with preconception and misconception. Colonial historiography stripped Hinduism of its Hindu-ness and India of Bharat. Colonial historicity, according to the author, is merely descriptive and random interpretations of myths rather than engaging with the idea of mythmaking. Decolonizing Hinduism is an attempt to address that. In the book, the author places ecology, astronomy, and timescale (yuga cycle) at the heart of the Hindu belief system.

These important dimensions of Hinduism are not taught in our history classes. Instead, perceptions about Hinduism are limited to polytheism, idol worship, and caste system. The book tries to rescue Hinduism from these biases and give voice to a uniquely indigenous version of Hinduism. It does so by demystifying the deeper concepts of Hinduism and history with allegories drawn from modern technological innovation in the field of capitalist economy, artificial intelligence, quantum physics, block chain, etc.

Preface

Purna Swaraj declaration promulgated by the Indian National Th Congress (supposedly drafted by Mahatma Gandhi) January 1930 said: on 26

The British government in Bharat has not only deprived the Bhartiya people of their freedom but has based itself on the exploitation of the masses, and has ruined Bharat economically, politically, culturally and spiritually.

But How?

We are still carrying some colonial hangover in our mind, tongue, and behaviour, which are reflected in our cultural, social, political, and economic choices. In addition, most of our books were inspired by the British and twisted around expected political outcomes. So, this book is about decolonizing mindset, especially of Hindus. In Kashmir, Pakistan existed as a 'deep state' (invisible existence in the masses as a soft or hard corner). Similarly, Hinduism was shaped/ molded in the form of Western religions, society, and philosophy; initially, it seems that we are reading about Hinduism, but it's actually 'western drink' in Indian bottles, which is an ideological level 'deep state'. That is why it's important to be legitimate and explain truth in the form of decolonization.

You are either taught all religions are the same and teach love and peace, or when violence happens, it's the people who have wrongly interpreted it; if someone is communist, then from time to time, brainwashing is done to convince them that 'religion is opium', but you are never taught what is religion and Hinduism, etc. You are always kept with an empty brain through shallow love or hate towards religion.
