Yoga is an ancient Indian science with spiritual philosophy. Yoga means joining, combining. Combining body to the mind, mind to the soul and soul to the God. This leads to perfection. Yoga keeps our body and mind in tune and success comes our way all through. There are several types of Yoga called-Bhakti Yoga (Jap Yoga), Karma Yoga, Gyan Yoga, Ashtang Yoga. The sub branches of Yoga include Meditation, Kundalini Jagran, Pranayama, Shat Karma, Surya Namaskar.

It gives me immense pleasure to write this book. Yoga is the union of this physical body to mind then mind to soul and then soul to the Universe. To achieve this peak, where one can unite with the universe-the yoga is one of the great steps. Here in this book I have tried to write in simple language so that the common man can understand the methods and can be benefitted. Besides regular yogic exercises, I have included the simple exercises also which can be practised any time like laughing, palming, accu-massage etc. I have included the shat-karma, tratak, meditation, different important yogic exercises etc; besides the simple ones. Exercises for children like tarasana, exercises for gastric problems like pavanmuktasana, exersises to reduce belly and obesity like paschimottanasana, exercises for proper energy flow and exercises for relaxation like shavasana are well described along with colour photographs, respectively. I am thankful to Dr.Deepika M. Sharma for co-authoring this book. I am highly thankful to Ms. Aishrwaya, Ms. Aditi, Ms.Medhavi and Mr.Tejaswi for giving nice poses for different yogasanas.
