About the Authors Dr. Varsha Saxena D/O Sri Ram Prakash Saxena and Smt. Usha Devi Saxena, was born in Agra district (U.P.). With the grace of Radhasoami Dayal after acquiring higher degree of BAMS, MS (Ay) and PhD (BHU), she is now Assistant Professor (Shalya Tantra) in Uttarakhand Ayurveda University (UAU), main campus, Dehradun. She had received award from UP Minister and Bronze medal and silver medal from ex-governor of U.P. She was also awarded first position in Sushruta Quiz by Uttaranchal Director. She was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) during her research work. She has published more than 40 research papers in 1 international and national journals including Scopus and Web of sciences (WOS). She has presented more than 20 papers in international, national seminar and attends more than 10 workshops. She is skilled in leech therapy and Kshar Sutra therapy in various surgical diseases. She is member of various academic bodies like Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad, International Journal of Ayush etc.
Prof. Lakshman Singh, Professor, Shalya Tantra, (BHU) S/0 Late Sri Kirori lal and Late Smt. Sheela devi, was born at village Manpur District Bulandshahar. In his supervision more than 30 MS (Ay) theses and more than 6 PhD theses awarded. His teaching experiences are more than 20 years. He had delivered more than 80 guest lecturer in different national and international conferences. He had received many awards during his academic period such as Sushruta Ratna award, Jeevak award, Best PhD thesis award (2006). He was honoured as Ayurveda Vibhuti 2019 award by honorable chief minister UP in 2019. He has published more than 40 research papers. He is author of four books. He had organized many workshop and national seminar. He is member ' of various academic and research bodies. He has been member of various public service commissions to scrutinize experts of subjects.
