I am happy that in a short time, the Maharaja Mansingh Pustak Prakash has made considerable progress in unveiling its literary treasures for the benefit of research scholars. After its first publication, 'Ajitodaya Mahakavya', the compilation of this modern catalogue of the Hindi and Rajasthani manuscripts preserved in this Institution has been a most welcome and praiseworthy accomplishment. Now, for the first time, research scholars of our land and overseas will know in greater detail about the various unique manuscripts in this collection. Very soon, it is hoped that a similar catalogue of the Sanskrit manuscripts, which is now under preparation, will also be published. For this important step which will help to throw light on our valuable heritage preserved in these volumes, I would like to commend the dedicated work of Pandit Kalu Ramji who under the able guidance of Dr. Narain Singh Bhati has made this publication possible. I am sure that with this essential work having been completed, the Institution will now be better placed to implement its further aims and objectives with the help of interested scholars and institutions engaged in parallel research work.
