Sanskrit language is as thriving as any other Natural Language on the earth. Inspite of all shorts of criticisms, the spectrum of creative works in Sanskrit would suffice to authenticate this claim. The Creative and Shastric Literature in Sanskrit encompas almost all the fields and a fair critic may get stunned to see the varities of areas/topics coverred by the Sanskrit Laureates. The present volume Adhunika-Samskrta-Sahitya-Sandarbhasuci compriese all such works composed/ published during the Twentieth Century.

Prof. R.V. Tripathi's work in this field viz. 'Sanskrit Sahitya: Bisavim Satabdi published by Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan, New Delhi (1999) includs a bibliography of this nature. He has been amending to that for last few years. This Volume gives a concrete picture of such works by the collective effort of us. While compiling this volume the guiding policy was to take note of all published works either in book form or in article form brough-out by well-established journals and magazines.

The University Grants Commission, New Delhi, have recognized the Department of Sanskrit, Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar for Departmental Research Support (DRS) under their Special Assistance Programme (SAP). Natyasastra and Modern Sanskrit Literature have been identified as two major thrust areas. Seven research projects have already been completed by us in this Department, while some projects are in progress. The present bibiliography has been prepared to serve as a referencial work for these projects. It is being printed for the use by the scholars working in Modern Sanskrit Literature. We wish to update this volume in future to keep a constant track with the literary activites in Sanskrit.
