Realities do not change. But our perceptions change.
There are many new points and perceptions here. Each could be used as a launching pad for further explorations.
There are seeds for several books in this small book. I am very happy and excited in presenting this first ray to the seekers of Truth.
Somayaji is one of the brilliant students of the Study Centre. His amazing work in such a short span of one year is definitely inspirational to other students.
After working in the Information Technology industry for nearly two decades, he left his job to join the Centre for Studies on Spiritual Realities, a division of Manasa Foundation, as a full time scholar to pursue his quest for Spiritual Truths. This is his first book on a Spiritual subject and it is an attempt to deepen the understanding of the knowledge that already exists in this path.
On the following Sunday, a colleague brought my attention to a point mentioned in our landmark book 'Descent of Soul' written by Guruji and I immediately knew that my study work will begin with this book. From the next day, I began reading it like a textbook. I had read it several times before but this time, it was different. Soon, I realized that this tiny book is a reservoir of Knowledge and each point mentioned in it deserves in-depth study and contemplation. When I started working on my subject of awareness, I realized that I must begin by understanding its origin. The 'Descent of Soul' provided many answers and the platform on which to carry on my study.
The work mainly involved analysis and contemplation on the many questions that came to mind while reading this book and a few others and there were many insights that were worth recording. Many important hints came from my interactions with Guruji and attending his lectures.
After several months of contemplation and recording several pages of observations and inferences, it was felt that these findings should be made available to those interested.
Guruji asked me to compile all the documents sometime in February 2007. Many new points were added during the compilation process, which was completed by the end of April.
This book tries to address some questions that are raised by the seekers of Spiritual Truths but it may raise more questions than it answers. And that is the objective of this book, since good questions are as important as the answers.
