We are extremely happy to present before the readers and scholars this volume "Aspets of Brahmana Literature, the proceedings of the National Seminar organized by the Centre, as a part of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

The Year 2014 is celebrated as the Golden Jubilee Year of the Centre and many academic and cultural programmes were organized including two National Seminars, the proceddings of which are already published.

In all 31 articles are included in the volume twenty eight(28) in English and three (3) in Sanskrit. Eminent scholars from different parts of the county have contributed to this volume like Prof. G. U. Thite, Prof. T. N. Dharmadhikari, Prof. S. K. Lal, Prof. P. C. Sahoo, Prof. Madhavi Kolhatkar, Prof. Jayashree Sathe, Prof. D. K. Kharawandikar, Prof. Sulok Sundar Mohanty, Prof. H. C. Patyal, Prof. Pratibha Manjari Rath, Prof. Vinaya Kshirsagar, Prof. M. G. Dhadphale, Prof. Banamali Biswal, Prof. Nirmala Kulkarni, Prof. Arun Ranjan Mishra, Dr. Bhagyashree Bhagvat, Dr. Jayanti Tripathy, to name a few.

Now it is our pleasant duty to record our gratefulness and express our thanks to those who were directly or indirectly responsible for the organisation of the seminar and the publications of the proceedings. We thank the authorites of S. P. Pune University for providing financial suppport to organize the seminar. Prof. G. U. Thite was a part of the celebrations and helped us in organising the seminar. Prof. Lal has gone through some of the papers and offered valuable suggestions. We sincerely record our gratefulness to them.
