We are really thankful to Kaivalyadhama : Lonavla for entrusting us with the project of the translation in Gujarati of the classic book Asana: written by Shri Kuvalayanandji - the greatest exponent of Pranayarna. This invaluable book 'Asanas' has become so popular that it has seen seven editions during last seven decades.

We feel privileged to be associated with Kaivalyadhama : Lonavla. We have been fortunate to have right direction in the field of Pranayama and Asanas by this association. We are indebted to Pujya Shree Maheshanandji, Shri O. P. Tiwariji, Shri Subodh Tiwariji and Kaivalyadhama : Lonavla as a whole for their incessant support.

We at Project 'Life' have with us a retired professor of Gujarati Shri N. G. Rajpara in the capacity of an honorary advisor in the field of publication. He is M. A. with Gujarati and Sanskrit and has taught Gujarati language and literature at graduate and post-graduate level as well for thirty three years. He has done a commendable job in translating this highly technical book in Gujarati.

We are sure that this first edition of Gujarati version of '.Asanas' will definitely cater to the need of Gujarati knowing people who have keen interest in Pranayama and Asanas.

Before this Prof. Rajpara has translated the unique book Pranayama in Gujarati which has been published by Kaivalyadhama : Lonavla. We are pleased to note that knowledgeable people have accorded warm welcome to this publication. We hope that this Gujarati version of 'Asanas' will also earn the same response.
