For a very long time, I have been thinking to explore archaeological site along the Ghaggar-Yamuna divide in Haryana. But could not do so because of my busy schedule in the Department of AIH, KUK. I wanted some of my student to explore Gohana region in Sonipat district, which is very important for archaeological investigation. One of the my student agreed to take this responsibility and present work out come of his keen interest in Proto historical archaeology of this region. Dr Vinay Kumar, researcher of the Department of Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology, K.U.K. Extensively surveyed Tehsil Gohana of district Sonipat and discover more than 43 sites, which are 1 Hakra Culture, 5 Early Harappan culture, 15 Late Harappan Culture, 7 Painted grey ware culture, 21 Historical Culture, 27 Medieval Culture sites. This work done by the author throws light on the archaeological history of Haryana from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. This book entitle An Archeological History of Haryana has been divided into seven chapters.
