Dr. Subhash Waghe Born on 26th January, Dr. Subhash Waghe had done his graduation from Government Ayurvedic College, Nagpur and post graduation in Rognidana from Shree Ayurved College, Nagpur. Presently he is professor in department of Rognidana & V.V. at KDMG Ayurved College, Chalisgaon He was resident medical officer at various modern hospitals. He had also acted as House Officer in Medicine and Gynaec department at Govt. Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Nagpur. He had presented research papers in various national and international seminars and conferences. He had also published many research articles in peer reviewed journals. He is the author of famous book titled "Dr. Waghe's Innovative Approach To Differential Diagnosis In Ayurveda" & "Dr. Waghe's Integrated Approach To Clinical Methods In Ayurveda" which are highly appreciated by learned ayurvedic as well as medical community and remains one of the highly popular book in the Ayurvedic medical field. His book titled "Dr. Waghe's Integrated Approach To Clinical Methods In Ayurveda" got the prestigious 'Best book of the year' award from Ranade Foundation, Pune. He also received Best paper award at various conferences. He had also revived the 7 lost rare Ayurvedic Samhitas. His teaching skill and methodology is lauded both by students as well as teachers.

It is an excellent and precise book on Ayurvedic cardiology with modem updates. I highly appreciate the exhaustive efforts taken by Dr. Subhash Waghe in bringing this book covering all aspects of ancient and modem cardiology with their perfect blending yet holding the ancient roots firmly while reaching the sky of modem developments. The book is written in simple, concise and easy to understand manner and should act as the cardiology companion to all teachers, students and practitioners. This is probably the only Ayurvedic book which comprehensively deals with the A to Z of cardiology in systematic way. Cardiology up till was an unopened box of treasure for the students and practitioners of Ayurveda. This book will instill tremendous confidence in Ayurvedic practitioners to practice Ayurvedic cardiology and will also boost the morale of students.

Dr. Waghe himself had spent years acquiring practical knowledge of the subject at various cardiac centers and this book reflects his utmost devotion towards the subject on every page.

This is indeed an innovative approach in updating Ayurvedic Cardiology as per era clearing all doubts and myths and inferiority complex from the minds of Ayurvedic students. The diagrams and illustrations are given wherever required for clear understanding and is one of the main attraction of this book. The unexplored cardiac diseases mentioned by Ayurvedic acharyas in various texts at various times are well compiled and explained. This is I suppose a gigantic work that requires great dedication. Practical application of electrocardiogram (ECG) and other cardiac investigations is in accordance with the modem development and nicely incorporated. Laudable effort had also been done to explain the conduction abnormalities on the basis of Pulse examination and their root in Ayurvedic science. Similarly the physiological aspects ofAyurvedic Cardiology have been explained scientifically in modem terms giving all evidences. The pathophysiology of new cardiac disorders have been studied from Ayurvedic unique pathogenic concept of 'She Kriya Kala' which has given a new dimension to study the modem diseases from Ayurvedic pathogenesis and treatment point of view. Addition ofAyurvedokta `Hrid Rogaghna Dravyas' and `Hridya Dravyas' with their possible mode of action from modem pharmacological point of view adds to the beauty of this book. Preventive cardiological aspects in Ayurveda are well explored and analyzed. The nutrition that affect the cardiac health is well discussed with research findings from Ayurvedic and modern point of view. Dr. Subhash Waghe had dived into the deep sea of cardiology to bring this beautiful pearl.
