Margaret Ann Lembo is a noted author and speaker, sought after for close to 30 years. The author of The Essential Guide to Crystals, Minerals, and Stones and Color Your Lift with Crystals, she is a spiritual entrepreneur and practitioner, aromatherapist, and the owner of The Crystal Garden, a bookstore, gift store, and spiritual center in southeast Florida.

My interest in the teachings of nature, plants, and animals started in the garden with my mother. Thanks to the time spent talking to and listening to the plants and flowers, the turning of my attention toward a spiritually rich life also grew in the garden. As I child, I felt as if I could hear what dogs were thinking as well as feel the presence of angels at all times. My ability to "see" angels was experienced as an inner vision. As time went on, I realized that when I quiet my mind, clear my emotions, and eliminate preconceived notions, my perception filter allows for more vivid visions and messages.

Thus, I learned that it's easier to link with Al life telepathically. As a young girl, I watched Al the popular Saturday morning cartoons-from Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to Woody the Woodpecker and Heckle and Jeckle, and many more. I realized then that although these animated and anthropomorphized animals had been created in someone's mind and appeared as entertaining images on a screen, the inspiration for them came from the animals themselves. Animals do communicate with each other as well as with humans. With Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney animals and plants, Walt Disney opened a pathway in our consciousness to the possibility of interspecies communication and messages beyond the norm. Shows like Captain Kangaroo heralded a new type of children's TV in the mid-1950s, featuring human-animal communication with Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit, and Dancing Bear. It's been a long time since I watched Saturday morning cartoons, but today's modern kids probably can't fathom a world in which animals don't talk.

With these few examples, it’s not far-fetched to believe that we can work with animals on an energetic level through symbolism and intuition. It's also not far-fetched to believe that animals communicate with us.

After many years of personal experience with rocks, crystals, and gemstones, I began writing books on colors, crystals, and the power of positive thought. The more I wrote about gemstones as a matching vibration for positive thought, angels, archangels, and the like, the more I realized that there are matching gemstones for the various animals and their position in the wheel of life.

I was drawn to the lessons found in the cycles of life early on my spiritual journey, which led me to the wheel of life, which created a bridge between animals and their connection with cycles of life through the seasons. The wheel of life drew me toward the teachings of the ancient ways in Italy, Peru, and North America. Many realizations have come to me from spending time observing the wheel of life, so I incorporated those realizations into this book, as well as into all of my teachings.

It's my intention to continue to open up our consciousness so that we can all grasp the interrelatedness of all life on planet earth. Like the butterfly, it takes just a little 'flutter of my wings' to make big results. Within these pages, you will have the chance to read, contemplate, observe, and understand yourself and your life a little better, as I have done as I wrote this book.
