Bhakti Mathur took to writing in 2010 when she created the popular Amma, Tell Me series of children's picture books about Indian festivals and mythology. After a long stint as a banker, she now juggles her time between her writing, her passion for fitness and long-distance running, and her family. She lives in Hong Kong with her husband, their two children and two dogs. When not writing or running after her young boys, Bhakti is happiest curled up with a book in one hand and a hot cup of chai in the other. To know more, visit her at www.bhaktimathur.com.

The Amma, Take Me series is an attempt to introduce children to the major Indian religions and faiths through their important places of worship. Styled as the travelogues of a mother and her two young children, these books link history, tradition and mythology to bring alive the major temples, churches, mosques and mausoleums of India in an engaging and non-preachy way.
The stories emphasize universal values and the message of love and tolerance central to all faiths. I hope that this journey of Amma and her children will inspire you to embark on your own travels with your children, and I hope that you will enjoy reading these books as much as I enjoyed writing them.
