Dr. Sharad Porte is working on the post of Associate Professor in PG department of Agad Tantra and Vidhi Vaidyak and also as In Charge of Cancer consultation and treatment unit, National Institute of Ayurveda (Deemed to be university), Jaipur, Rajasthan. He did his BAMS from Govt. Ayurveda college, Nagpur, Maharashtra and Post- graduation in Agad tantra from Shri Ayurveda mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, Maharashta.

The Author of this book is teaching the subject for last 15 years and also has been guide to many post graduate scholars. He has worked as Asst prof in Shri Gurudev Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Gurukunj, Mojhri, M.S Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Godia, Y.M.T Ayurveda Medical college, Navi Mumbai and Ashwin Grahmin Ayurveda college, Manchi Hill.

Dr. Priyanka Katru is working as an Assistant professor in SKSS Ayurvedic medical college, Ludhiana in Dept of Agad Tantra. She did her B.A.M.S from Jammu institute of Ayurveda and research, J&K and Post-graduation in Agadtantra from National Institute of Ayurveda-Jaipur Rajasthan.

She is Young Editorial Board member of TMR integrative medicine. She is also the reviewer for InSe-International Journal of Basic sciences. She has received a Young Researcher Award-2021 for a published article. Till now she has published 6 Research papers in various National and International journals and have presented more than 4 papers/posters in International and National Seminars.

Presented book 'the textbook of Agadtantra (Ayurveda and modern toxicology)' is according to the newly revised syllabus for the subject Agad tantra by CCIM, New Delhi. It has been described in detail according to both Ayurveda and modern medical science. For better understanding the book has been designed with various figures, charts, coloured pictures. I believe this book will prove beneficial to both BAMS and MD students.
