You are sitting there in your garden, watching silently the beautiful multi-coloured sitting butterfly on a delicious looking fruit. Why? To feel calm, peace and joy! You have built an amazing career for yourself. Why? To experience fulfillment! You wear an amazing outfit and put on stunning make-up. Why? To feel pretty! You embrace and cuddle a child. Why? To experience warmth of innocent Love! You put on slow melodious music while driving your car. Why? To experience bliss of the moment!
And if you give it a thought my dear readers... Calm, Peace, Joy, Beauty, Fulfillment, Love, Bliss are just another names for 'Pleasure'. Everything we do is in a way or the other to experience this 'Pleasure'. It is our human nature that draws us towards pleasure and bliss, we are always in search of this 'pleasure' ...this happy high! All our works, our thoughts, inventions have manifested from this tremendous inspiration to experience 'pleasure'.
Do remember, pleasure can be experienced through bad deeds too. However, it eventually leads to disappointment and guilt. For example, when you hit a bird with stone, you may experience momentary pleasure of accomplishment for getting the aim right, but the moment you see the poor bird, injured, helpless and crying in pain, the feeling of guilt engulfs your heart.
We set on the journey to search for pleasure right from the day we are born. A child cries for mother, when she's away because child finds pleasure and warmth in mother's lap. Our religious rituals and pious deeds are also out of desire for heaven, the eternal bliss! `Swarg'/ 'Janne/ 'Paradise' is the place where there is no trace of sorrow, the place full of bliss, pleasure and love, whereas `Jahannam/Nark’/’Hell' is the place full of sorrow, unending pain and guilt, with no sign of pleasure or relief. So the main motive of all the religions is to bring that eternal bliss, spiritual joy and never-ending pleasure to humankind.
We are always curious to experience pleasure, but often we fail to find the true 'bliss'. This craving for momentary pleasures often traps us into the cycle of misery. I wish to see you in blissful state, the bliss that one acquires through the righteous path.
Some people have an ocean of bliss, but they remain unaware of this blessing. Some people attach their happiness to certain goal, so they wait the achievement of that goal to be happy. These people often remain in the state of waiting for way too long, before they could feel happy and satisfied. Because Great Pascal had once said, "We never live, as we only wish for a life. We always wait for happiness, our joy and happiness remains in future, that is why we never feel happy"
There is only one thing in this entire world that is in your control- your thoughts! No one can change your thoughts except you and no one can decide whether your thoughts should be happy or sad. So decide for yourself... choose the right path of joy and bliss! The path of true and real happiness!
