It is customary for devotees to worship devatas with 108 namas, or divine attributes, praying for material and spiritual benefits. Avatara purusas such as Sri Adi Sankara are offered prayers in the same way.
As the brahma jnani who could integrate karma, bhakti and 'jnana marga-s' as a means to moksa, Sri Bhagavatpada was a perfect yogesvara. He was a far-sighted statesman who integrated Bharat as a cultural unit and laid firm foundation for our spiritual heritage in its best and purest form based on Vedic tenets.
The book contains the meaning of Sri Bhagavatpada's 108 namas, and their importance with references drawn from various sources.
