During the middle of the 20th century, the British publishing house Wilco Picture Library specialised in creating comic books and story papers. The business, which was established in 1949, published a broad variety of works, such as romance novels, westerns, and adventure stories. The most well-known books published by the business were "Billy Bunter," "Buffalo Bill," "Monte Cristo," and "Robin Hood."
Although Wilco Picture Library stopped publishing in the 1970s, the numerous classic comic books and story papers it created during its prime remain today. Collectors and fans of old comic books and British popular culture continue to place a high value on many of these publications.
