The graphic novel "Kari" is one of her best works. It portrays the tale of a young lady named Kari who struggles with issues of identity, love, and urban living in Mumbai. The story explores issues of loneliness, sexuality, and human development, which are shown in a creative manner through Patil's artwork.
The other well-known graphic novel by Amruta Patil is titled "Adi Parva: Churning of the Ocean." It is a modernised version of the ancient Indian epic poem, the Mahabharata.
