पुस्तक परिचय 2004 के पाकिस्तान दौरे की तो बात ही कुछ और थी। इतनी गर्मजोशी से लोग मिलते थे कि पूछिए मत। सिर्फ क्रिकेटर्स ही नहीं बल्कि आम लोग जो हिन्दुस्तान से क्रिकेट देखने गये थे, उनका इस कदर स्वागत हुआ कि कोई जिंदगी भर नहीं भूलेगा। कई ऐसे लोग मिले जो गुजरात से जाकर पाकिस्तान में बस गये थे और वहाँ उनके रेस्टोरेंट थे। मुझे याद है कि तमाम हिन्दुस्तानियों को उन्होंने बगैर पैसे लिये खाना खिलाया। मुझे पता है कि पैसे बड़ी चीज नहीं हैं, यहां बात रिश्तों की थी। कई बार तो ऐसा लगा जैसे दो बिछड़े भाई आपस में मिल रहे हों। तब मैं यंगस्टर था, टीम में नया नया आया था। हर कोई चाहता था लेकिन मुझे याद है कि जो भी मिलता था यही कहता था कि आप दोबारा पाकिस्तान आइएगा। मुझे याद है कि कराची में एक लड़की आयी थी मुझसे मिलने, उसके साथ उसके वालिद भी थे। वो लड़की पेशावर से आयी थी और होटल के रिसेप्शन पर मुझसे मिलने के लिए बैठी रही। 8-10 घंटे इंतजार किया। जहाँ तक लाहौर में श्रीलंका की टीम पर हुए हमले की बात है, तो वो एक बुरी घटना थी, हर किसी के लिए। कोई इन्सान किसी भी देश, किसी भी धर्म का हो... दुनिया का कोई भी धर्म आतंकवाद नहीं सिखाता।

लेखक परिचय जन्म : 28 जून 1978, इलाहाबाद में। शिक्षा : 1998 में इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से बी. कॉम। फिर दिल्ली से पत्रकारिता में डिप्लोमा। 1995 से अखबारों में लेखन। 1999 में हिन्दी दैनिक अमर उजाला से पत्रकारिता करियर की शुरुआत। फिर लम्बे समय तक टीवी चैनल जी न्यूज से जुड़े रहे। बतौर खेल पत्रकार दो दर्जन से ज्यादा विदेश यात्राएँ। क्रिकेट विश्व कप से लेकर ओलंपिक और एशियाई खेलों की कवरेज। लेखन : बतौर लेखक पहली किताब । देश के सभी हिन्दी दैनिकों में लेख एवं पुस्तक समीक्षाएँ प्रकाशित। राष्ट्रीय नाट्य विद्यालय के लिए नाटकों का अनुवाद। सम्प्रति : स्टार न्यूज में बतौर विशेष संवाददाता कार्यरत ।
