About the Author

Born in 1935 at Belgaum, Karnataka state. Ravi Paranjape studied Art at Chitramandir, Belgaum, under Prof. K. B. Kulkarni. Ravi obtained the Govt. Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the then Bombay state in 1957. He enjoyed a brilliant career in Mumbai till 1990.

A resident of Pune since then, Ravi also writes on art matters from time to time and has authored a book Shikhare Rang Reshanchi in Marathi. His autobiography Brush Mileage and a book Neeladhavala Dhwajakhali on Cultural Nationalism were published in Marathi in 2006.
