About the Author Dr. Mansi Saxena is an empaneled artist of I.C.C.R as well as a graded artist of Doordarsan, Delhi. She is Ph.D in Kathak and is presently working as Assistant Professor of Kathak in post graduate government college for girls in Chandigarh. A well known Kathak artist, she has completed her Post diploma from Kathak Kendra, under the guidance of Pt. Rajendra Gangnani ji. Her initial training in Kathak was done in Patiala by Dr. Jagmohan Sharma ji and in the later years, she has worked as a repertory artist with Smt. Aditi Mangaldas ji and Smt. Shovana Narayan ji in Delhi. She has performed in various prestigious festivals in Japan, Australia, England, Srilanka, Dubai.

Academically, she has been a Gold medalist in Kathak (Masters) from Punjabi University, Patiala. She has also been awarded with various prestigious awards like Rajendra Deep Samana (Calcutta), Vishesh Pragati Samman (Chandigarh), Nritya Mani Award (Moradabad) etc. She has also been a recipient of National Scholarship in Kathak (2004) and National Fellowship in Kathak (2016-17) from Ministry of Culture, Delhi.
