Brahmarshi Patriji is too well known now all over the world
to need any formal introduction, particularly for the seekers on the path of
spirituality and meditation. It is part of history that Prince Siddhartha left
the palace in search of Truth, contentment and Peace. After experimenting with
many well-known practices at that time-about 2,500 years ago, he ultimately got
Enlightenment by the process known now as Vipassana. Over the years, Vipassana
was forgotten in the land of Gautama the Buddha, but well preserved in some
far-off lands including Burma-now known as Myanmar. About a century ago a
prominent wealthy jeweller in Rangoon suffered from very severe incurable
headache. To cut a long story short, finding no relief from treatments then
available in many countries, the young Satyanarayana Goenkaji joined Vipassana
Meditation course on the advice of his well-wishers. Goenkaji got relief from
his physical ailment within a few weeks but found the practice far more
valuable and completed the three month long course. He attained enormous
benefits. On being advised by his Burmese guru/monk U Ba Khin to take back
Vipassana to the land of birth of Buddha Goenkaji brought it back to India in
1969. By his own dedicated efforts, he simplified it to be taught to people at
large. Even then it was ten days, when I had the privilege of learning
Vipassana at the Hyderabad Center, during a critical period of my life. I had
to stay in the Ashram for ten days-two simple meals a day. Practice from 5
a.m., till late at night. First three days was only observing the breath, the
incoming and outgoing breath. Called as Ana Apana Sati. The next seven days is
observing the sensations of the body in total silence. It was Brahmarshi
Patriji who simplified the entire process. Discovering the observance of the
breath - incoming and outgoing breath-is alone enough for the meditation, he
practiced himself, got the benefit and started spreading the same to everyone..
the poor and the rich, the illiterate and educated, and made it possible for
everyone to attain the benefit. He realised the power of meditating in a
pyramid and promoted establishment of pyramids everywhere. There are now over
20,000 Pyramids big and small, countless free workshops, conferences, classes,
seminars and meditation movements. Combined with his gift of singing and
playing flute, he has mesmerised people not only in many parts of India, but
even in many countries around the world. Thus was born a new age spiritual
movement, demanding nothing from the followers but regular practice of
meditation that is offered free of cost to everyone. Millions have been
transformed by a simple technology. Millions of animals and birds are grateful
to him for making millions of people becoming vegetarians.
Patriji, founder of the Pyramid Spiritual Societies
Movement, is a new-age Spiritual Master, on a mission to spread Meditation
across the globe for over 40 years. This book is a compilation of
Question-and-Answer sessions with him from a popular weekly public program
called "Enlightenment Hour". This book provides immense spiritual
wisdom and clear guidance for those who are on their path to know themselves.
It is a classic reference to everyone seeking answers for the many challenges
of life. Patriji answers a variety of questions from seekers, providing great
clarity across multi-faceted areas covering Meditation, Relationships,
Parenting, Manifestation, Wellness, Purpose of Life, Right Path, Pyramids,
Spiritual Science, Death and many more. "The overriding teaching repeated
throughout the book is the importance of meditation for individual and
collective growth and evolution. "Patriji Answers" provides
invaluable counsel on how to live one's life, how to understand the grand design
of the universe, how to take responsibility for the conditions that we
ourselves have created and how to know ourselves as immortal souls. Patriji
envisions a time in the near future when a billion people on the earth are
meditating at the same time. This is what will change the world."
