Preface

This is the second book of my trilogy on the war between demons and human beings, the first being The Demons of Jaitraya. The epics say, in the great war of Ramayana, a number of rakshasas escaped. They hid in the bowels of the Earth, in the water and in space and remained dormant for eons. In the 20th century, some of them reappeared in different forms to plague the Earth with wars and illnesses. At the end of his war with Ravana, Rama had asked Hanuman to raise and train a contingent of warriors who would take birth multiple times on Earth, to contain the demons. These warriors were led by the female warrior Aishani, who has been blessed by Ma Durga. She has special powers and so do the other warriors. Together they undergo a quest to make the Earth a better place.

The Demons of Jaitraya described the beginning of the warriors' journey, their special powers and their feats in demolishing the demons. These demons come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and some have become human-like too. This makes it difficult to segregate demons from humans.
